Cleansing with Care

Cleansing is the very first step in your daily skincare regimen, and it should be done every morning and every evening before bedtime. It’s as simple as washing your face.

Besides obvious things that accumulate on your skin each day, such as dirt, oil and makeup, invisible impurities must also be cleansed from the skin to avoid future damage. Common invisible impurities include cigarette smoke, car exhaust, room deodorizers and aerosol sprays, smog and pollution.

Facial cleansers are imperative for the skin’s overall health and proper functioning. A good cleanser can target dryness by providing light moisture and can remove excess oils, while helping to control sebum production. A good facial cleanser will never compromise your skin’s natural moisture barrier, setting it apart from the average bar soap!

Cleansers are so easy to use! Cleanse every morning after you wake up and every evening before bedtime by following these five easy steps:
Step 1: Wet your hands with warm water.
Step 2: Dispense a dollop about the size of a quarter into the palm of your hand (after trying this, you might even wish to use more).
Step 3: Rub your hands together to distribute the ingredients.
Step 4: Gently massage the cleanser into your skin in a circular motion.
Step 5: Rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry.

It’s that easy! Keep a cleanser by your bathroom sink and another one in the shower for convenience. Remember to evaluate your skin periodically to make sure you are using the appropriate cleanser for your skin.

For proper facial cleansing, men, women and teens can use the Herbalife SKIN Soothing Aloe Cleanser for Normal to Dry skin and the Polishing Citrus Cleanser for Normal to Oily skin.
